Shevon L. Sampson is an author, entrepreneur and businesswomen who believes serving her community is as important as building her business.
Her life-long passion for serving others led her to write her first book, (title), which is based on her own experiences of giving of one’s time and talents to worthy causes and how that can open doors to other opportunities. To accompany the book, Sampson has developed a workbook. She’s also developed a companion game board that focuses on money management. She hopes to help and inspire others with this collection, designed to get people thinking about not only their finances, but how the decisions they make about what they keep and what they give can impact their future and the futures of others.
For the past 12 years, Sampson has led Sowers, a nonprofit she founded to help fill needs unmet by city and county agencies. Sampson is the chief executive officer of Sowers, which serves the Riverside, California community at a grassroots level, providing a variety of services to the homeless, battered women, children, teens and families in need.
She is also chief executive officer of Sampson Insurance and Financial Services, which she founded in 2006.
Her past roles include working as a case manager for organizations such as Crystal Stairs, Community Build and the State of California.
